There are settlements in five of these islands which are also called the Prince's Islands accordingly. It was a place of exile in the past, but it has become a place where the rich families of Istanbul live as from the 17th century. The next stop is the old caves with its Greek houses and the abandoned village of Cavusin. After Cavusin, you will go to Avanos for lunch (open buffet) and visit a pottery workshop. Then you go to Pasabag valley where you can see the pramidal and the big fairy chimneys. After Pasabag valley, you will visit another workshop to see the hand-woven carpets and rugs of Cappadocia. The next stop is the Devrent Valley, also called the Imagination Valley, where you can see natural rock formations that resemble animals. Your first stop of the tour is Kerinkuyu Underground Village where dwellings with stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, churches, and wineries were used as refuges for the Christian communities. You will then continue your tour by driving to Ihlara Canyon also known as Grand Canyon created from the ashes of the volcanic Mt. Hasan. You will hike through the canyon, which is watered with Melendiz River and see rock-cut churches spread across the area. Early morning you will be picked up from your hotel and begin the Pamukkale Tour. You will begin your guided tour of the Pamukkale and Hierapolis area with a profession licensed tour guide. In Pamukkale, you will see the Cotton Cliffs, one of the natural wonders of the world formed by deposits of calcareous salts. Also you will visit the ancient ruins of the City of Hierapolis with its basilica, theatre and Roman Baths. At the end of the guided tour, you will have some free time to explore the area on your own. As an option, you may choose to swim in the Pamukkale antique pools (at own expense) during this free time. The tour guide will inform you about the exact meeting point and time.
